Philatelic Convention on 31st October 2020. Due to the uncertainty over the impact of the Covid virus and social distancing requirements, the Society has taken the decision to cancel the Convention this year. We hope to be able to run it next year. We will set a new date once we have further details of other stamp fairs taking place around the normal date in the autumn.
The Marie Curie Auction has been postponed until Autumn 2021. - donations are still being accepted - please send in details of donations pledged and view here. See advert for details
EXCHANGE PACKET - This is now up and running.
The Society will be 50 in 2020. To commemorate this milestone, a special offer of two years' membership for one will be offered to any new member who mentions this website.
Members can now create a pdf document of favourite / interesting items that they have and send them by email to include on this site.
The Society is one of the few to hold regularly weekly meetings from September to April. In addition there are sociable monthly meetings in the "close" season in nearby Knowle.
The Programme Secretary provides a diverse range of guests and presentations, as well as specialised Great Britain and Commonwealth philately.
Members interests range from stamps to postal stationery and from postcards to postal orders.
All meetings start at 8:00 pm during the spring and autumn, but at 7:30 pm during the winter months. The clubhouse is open 30 minutes before the meeting for members to look through the many auction catalogues and sales lists which we receive on a regular basis, borrow books and catalogues from the Society Library, order accessories, ask about any philatelic matters, buy, sell, or exchange stamps with other members or simply have a drink and an informal chat.
If you intend to sell all or part of your collection, or have a friend or member of your family, we may be able to advise you how to dispose the collection.
When we get back to normal........
